Self Development Trainer at (“ Kun Nafsak”)
“Be yourself, be happy” is the moto I live by nowadays, and find extreme joy, balance and satisfaction in helping others to reach it as well.
Happiness is often a mystery, people live and die searching for it, while it only lies within; to reach this conclusion one must discover the deepest purest parts of their soul, which requires a lot of work and is in fact a long journey of self-exploration and dedication. My journey was not always smooth or clear: I had to try many things and work in many fields over the years, till one day I was led to “Be Yourself”.
I graduated in 1979 with a Bachelor degree of Business administration from Cairo University. I started my professional life as a retail owner, I opened a toy shop in Zamalek, Cairo. Throughout the years of working in the toys industry, I began to observe parents, how they would strive to teach their children through play and toys, then I realized that I liked this alternative way of learning. Given the success of the store at that time, I was never fully satisfied, thus I began to look for another field of work. I shifted my career to marketing, and became a marketing consultant for a trading company, which dealt with the duty-free; only to find myself in the same vicious circle of unbalance and constant search of something else.
I thought I should start exploring in more artistic fields, which led me to jewelry design. Jewelry design gave me a lot of joy and started preparing me for my self-exploration journey.
In 2011 I learned about “Be Yourself”, I took the course in desperation to find my own balance, not knowing that it would actually change my life and those who surround me as well. After several years of studies and practicing “Be Yourself”, I acquired enough self-confidence to be able to give back to my community.
In 2013 I became a Trainer, conducting “Be Yourself Program” for children, teen-agers and adults. I found great joy in working with people, helping them to reach their balance and reassuring mine. My greatest pleasure was working with the caregivers of Awladi Orphanage in Maadi, Egypt, there I saw a huge transformation and I overcome major challenges. I was also very lucky to work with a class of teen-agers in El Zahraa School for Boys in Helwan for they have taught me hope and perseverance while they touched my soul in the deepest ways. I also worked with seven-year-old children as they challenged me to conduct the program in new creative methods to help them benefit from it the most. Last but not least, I had the pleasure of working several times with The National Council for Women, helping women find their strength, self-confidence, balance and happiness.
“Be Yourself” helped me find my balance and happiness, it also introduced me to a whole new level of self-satisfaction which lies in helping others. From 2011-2013 I have been working on myself, but since 2013 and till now I have been working with different people ranging in age, education level and backgrounds, which is helping me every day in my never ending self-growth journey.
